one of the best things in the world

is pizza. specifically, round table pizza. it may be a northern california thing, but my friend k and i absolutely adore it. even my brother will go out of his way to have round table. and every time we're at my parents' house, we have to have it at least once.

Round Table Pizza is the fifth largest pizza chain in the U.S. with over 500 restaurants in nine western states and five foreign countries. Headquartered in Concord, California, in the San Francisco Bay Area, Round Table has built a reputation as the pizza brand of choice and market share leader in the most competitive and discriminating restaurant markets in the country. We are recognized throughout the West for gourmet taste, quality and menu innovation.

call it a reminder of home, of childhood, whatever. i love it! and i got some today, because the girlfriend wanted me to go with her on an errand and bribed me with it. mmmm, pizza!

Concord? Holy shit! My late grandama (mom's mom) lived in Concord from the late fifties til the early 90s until she moved East to be with my mom and me until I started college. Small world!

Round Table? I've never been to crazy about them...Sometimes, I'll get a weird craving for Pizza Hut or Straw Hat (do they even exist anymore?), but now Round Table.

At least I know where to take you and the gf when you guys come up here next time!
