my weekend...

so unlike many in this country, i do not have monday off. i get to go to work and be merry about it. good thing i don't work fridays, or i'd be really mad about it.

friday i went out to dinner with good friends, had good food and drink and then we came back here to finish watching er and do a couple of shots, just cuz. t and her crush were here, it was very cute watching them flirt. brings back memories of when the girlfriend and i used to do that. wait, did we ever do that?

yesterday, the girlfriend arranged for us to get massages at cote d'azur spa in pasadena. it was so relaxing!

then we went to dinner at mi piace, which had really good food but the girls that we were seated next to were loud! dessert was good, too, but better at hollywood and vine.

next we were off to target (the only place open at 9:30 pm) to get a baby shower gift for our friends' daughter-in-law. i ended up buying a blanket for myself, which i plan on stuffing in my pillowcase along with my special hugging pillow that i sleep with. yes, i am over thirty, but i still have to have some bits of my childhood to cling to!

i got a haircut this morning, my friend, L, did a fabulous job, and then i went to the baby shower. it's been a whirlwind weekend, but it was fantastic! thanks to everyone who sent birthday wishes, to K for sending my present ups blue so it'd be here for my birthday, and to my girlfriend, who made sure that my birthday was once again a fun occasion.
