i need a haircut
it's too long and the last four inches of the ends are a completely different color than the rest of my hair, which i believe is as close to my natural color as it has been since i was a sophomore in highschool. i had to quit coloring it when i got it straightened with that weird japanese ionic something-or-other technology that takes 5 hours and makes your hair smell burnt for months. apparently, the process works better on 'virgin' hair. no more jet black hair for me.
since i've stopped coloring my hair, i've noticed a disturbing thing: i have a lot of white hair. it's not gray. it's shockingly, rampantly white. it used to just grow in sparse patches behind my ears (that's behind, not in, thankyouverymuch) but now the white ones are sprouting up all over. and just when i think i've gotten them all yanked out of my head, i'll be blow drying and bam!--there's another one.
yes, i am this vain. i'm only 30, for chrissakes.
oh, and then, the little bastards grow back! so they're short white hairs instead of the really long ones. it's a vicious, vicious cycle.
off to go cry about it and then go to bed.
