and it's barely sunday!
our concerts went well, we were very well received by our audiences and sounded better on some of the pieces than we ever had. there were a few missteps along the way, but there was so much good energy at the concerts that they just faded into the woodwork.
friday night my parents were at the concert, although they had seats that were directly behind the director, which made it impossible to see me, but they changed seats for the second half. my dad even got hugs from my friends and the director of the group, which is unusual, considering everyone thinks my dad is standoffish and mute. my mother, on the other hand, gets hugs from everyone.
saturday night the house was almost full, save for those people who bought season tickets and did not attend. lots of former members of our group were there, and were invited to sing our encore with us, which was so much fun. there was a lot of history in the room last night, with Sue Fink as a guest artist, along with Diane Lindsay on bass, and Megan Foley on drums.
we sang songs by margie adam, meg christian, cris williamson, holly near, sue fink, and a dozen or so others.
i love the energy we get from a good audience. but i'm so tired now.
i'll post about the after party after i've slept for about 12 hours.
